Manage TalentLMS users, courses, enrollments, groups, branches and learning progress.
TalentLMS ships in the w6w first-party pack. It declares 45 actions, 2 health checks, and the host runs its code in a sandbox that never sees the credential.
io.w6w.talentlmsTalentLMS is a cloud learning management system, and this app drives the administrative side of it: creating, editing, deactivating and deleting users, building courses, and enrolling people in them. It covers the full roster of a learning account — users with their courses, certifications and badges; courses with their units and prerequisites; categories, groups and branches — and the operations that connect them, such as adding a user to a group or branch, or a course to either.
Beyond administration it reads learning progress: a user’s status and per-unit scores inside a course, the answers they gave in a test or a survey, the sessions of an instructor-led unit, and the account timeline of events such as course completions and certification issues. It can reset a learner’s progress or mint a one-time URL that signs a learner in and drops them into a course.
A fit for onboarding workflows that create a user and enroll them in a curriculum when someone is hired, offboarding flows that deactivate them, and reporting flows that pull completions and scores into another system. Every account has its own TalentLMS subdomain, which the connection records once so no action needs to carry it.
Three routes to the same 45 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from TalentLMS's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.
category-get-leafs-and-courses A category's child categories and the courses beneath them.
course-custom-fields-get List the custom course fields defined for the domain.
course-enroll-user Enroll a user in a course, identified by ID or email and by ID or name.
course-get-by-custom-field Find courses whose custom field holds a value.
course-get-user-status A user's role, completion and per-unit progress in a course.
rate-limit-get The hourly request allowance and what remains of it. Does not count against the limit.
timeline-get The latest 200 timeline entries for an event type, optionally narrowed to one entity.
unit-get-progress Status and score for every user who tried a unit, or for one user.
user-custom-fields-get List the custom user fields defined for the domain.
user-get Fetch one user by ID, email address or username, with their courses, branches, groups, certifications and badges.
user-get-by-custom-field Find users whose custom registration field holds a value.
A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the
connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the
workflow spec, carrying TalentLMS's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An
app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the
address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account,
so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for TalentLMS, then fill in
the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the
parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed
from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but
nothing in it is specific to TalentLMS. The Workflow tab is where this app's
real ids are.

One MCP endpoint exposes every app, function and workflow the caller is entitled to, as tools it can discover and run. Access is granted per team while we onboard.

Every tool names its target with a single ref. The
app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the
host resolves which of the caller's TalentLMS connections to sign
with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.
The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.
Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.
TalentLMS's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.
The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. TalentLMS itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).
TalentLMS declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
