Enrich and search people and companies, identify people, resolve IPs, clean company/school/location strings, autocomplete fields and search job postings on People Data Labs.
People Data Labs ships in the w6w first-party pack. It declares 15 actions, 3 health checks, and the host runs its code in a sandbox that never sees the credential.
io.w6w.peopledatalabsPeople Data Labs (PDL) is a person and company data provider. This app enriches a person (one match, a bulk batch of up to 100, or a free-field preview) from an email, phone, social profile or name plus context, identifies the likely people behind loose inputs, and searches the person, company and job posting datasets with Elasticsearch or SQL queries passed through as written.
It enriches a company by name, website, ticker or profile (single or bulk), resolves an IP address to its company, cleans messy company, school and location strings to canonical records, suggests valid field values for building queries, and enriches a job title with similar titles and skills. Every PDL-billed action can run against the free sandbox host instead.
Health checks verify the API key, whether api.peopledatalabs.com is answering, the platform status page, and the remaining credit balance.
Three routes to the same 15 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from People Data Labs's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.
autocomplete Suggest valid values (with record counts) for a person-schema field from a prefix, e.g. company names starting `tes`. Use it to build Search People queries that hit canonical values. Free for every active key; counts against a daily rate limit.
bulk-enrich-companies Enrich up to 100 companies in one call; the same as running Enrich Company for each. Results come back in request order, each with its own status (a 404 entry is a no-match, not a failure). Costs one credit per 200 entry.
bulk-enrich-persons Enrich up to 100 people in one call; the same as running Enrich Person for each. Results come back in request order, each with its own status (a 404 entry is a no-match, not a failure) and optional metadata you attached. Costs one credit per 200 entry.
clean-company Resolve a messy company name, website or social URL to PDL's canonical company record (id, cleaned name, size, industry, location, profiles). Needs one of name, website or profile. Free up to 10,000 calls a month. No match is found: false, not an error.
clean-location Parse a free-form location into PDL's canonical form (city, region, country, continent, geo coordinates). Free up to 10,000 calls a month. No match is found: false, not an error.
clean-school Resolve a messy school name, website or social URL to PDL's canonical school record. Needs one of name, website or profile. Free up to 10,000 calls a month. No match is found: false, not an error.
enrich-company One-to-one company match: returns the full PDL company profile. Needs at least one of pdl_id, name, website, ticker or profile. Costs one credit per match. No match is a normal outcome (found: false), not an error.
enrich-ip Resolve an IPv4 or IPv6 address to the company (and optionally the person, location and network metadata) PDL associates with it. Costs one credit per match. No match is a normal outcome (found: false), not an error.
enrich-job-title Normalise a job title and get up to five similar titles and five relevant skills for it. The title must exist in PDL's job title dataset or there is no match (found: false, not an error). Costs one credit per match.
enrich-person One-to-one person match: returns the full PDL profile for the person your inputs identify. Needs at least one of profile, email, phone, email_hash, lid, pdl_id, or a name together with a company, school, location, street address, city, region, country, postal code or birth date. Costs one credit per match. No match is a normal outcome (found: false), not an error.
identify-person One-to-many person match: returns up to 20 candidate profiles ranked by match score (1-99) for loose inputs such as a name and a city. Needs at least one input. Costs one credit per call whatever the number of profiles returned, including a no-match. No match is found: false, not an error.
preview-enrich-person Preview which fields PDL holds for a person (true/false per field, with only a few identifying fields in clear) before paying for the full enrichment. Same inputs as Enrich Person. Needs at least one of profile, email, phone, email_hash, lid, pdl_id, or a name together with a company, school, location, street address, city, region, country, postal code or birth date. Needs preview access on the API key.
search-companies Search the PDL company dataset with an Elasticsearch query or a SQL query (passed through as written) and return matching company profiles. Costs one credit per record returned, so set the page size. Page with the scroll_token. An empty result is found: false with no records, not an error.
search-job-postings Search the PDL job posting dataset (Beta) by field filters or an Elasticsearch query — exactly one of the two. Costs one credit per record returned, so set the page size. Page with the scroll_token. An empty result is found: false with no records, not an error.
search-people Search the PDL person dataset with an Elasticsearch query or a SQL query (passed through as written) and return matching profiles. Costs one credit per record returned, so set the page size. Page with the scroll_token. An empty result is found: false with no records, not an error.
A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the
connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the
workflow spec, carrying People Data Labs's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An
app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the
address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account,
so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for People Data Labs, then fill in
the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the
parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed
from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but
nothing in it is specific to People Data Labs. The Workflow tab is where this app's
real ids are.

One MCP endpoint exposes every app, function and workflow the caller is entitled to, as tools it can discover and run. Access is granted per team while we onboard.

"arguments": {
"ref": "app:io.w6w.peopledatalabs#autocomplete",
"input": {
"field": "<field>"

}
}
Every tool names its target with a single ref. The
app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the
host resolves which of the caller's People Data Labs connections to sign
with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.
The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.
Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.
People Data Labs's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.
The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. People Data Labs itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).
People Data Labs declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
Component status from status.peopledatalabs.com. The verdict is the worst of the production API components (person, company, cleaner, autocomplete, job title, IP and job posting APIs); the web dashboard, login and sandbox are shown but do not drive it.
Unauthenticated GET of api.peopledatalabs.com/v5/autocomplete. The 401 authentication_error envelope is the expected healthy answer; credential validity is the `auth:api-key` check's job.
Credits left, read from the `x-totallimit-remaining` header of a parameterless (free) GET /v5/person/enrich. `degraded` at 0.
