About

Pardot ships in the w6w first-party pack. It declares 25 actions, 3 health checks, and the host runs its code in a sandbox that never sees the credential.

Overview

Pardot, now Salesforce Account Engagement, is Salesforce’s B2B marketing automation platform. This app brings its prospect database into a workflow on the current API v5: create, update, upsert by email and delete prospects, tag them, and move them on and off lists.

Query actions cover the rest of what a marketing workflow needs to look up first — campaigns, prospect accounts, custom fields, forms, form handlers, landing pages and sent emails — plus visitors and visitor activities, so a workflow can react to what a prospect actually did. Every query pages with the API’s own page token and defaults to a useful field list that you can widen, including custom fields.

Connect with Salesforce OAuth (production or sandbox) or a pasted access token, together with your business unit id. A health check tracks Account Engagement’s own Salesforce Trust status and whether the API host is answering.

Build with Pardot

Three routes to the same 25 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from Pardot's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.

List Campaigns

campaign-list

Query campaigns. Their ids are what prospects, forms and lists reference through `campaignId`.

List Custom Fields

custom-field-list

Query the prospect custom fields defined in this business unit. `apiFieldId` is the `…__c` name to use in other actions.

List Emails

email-list

Query sent emails. `htmlMessage` and `textMessage` are not queryable — read a single email for those.

List Form Handlers

form-handler-list

Query form handlers — the endpoints that let a form on your own site feed Account Engagement.

List Forms

form-list

Query Account Engagement forms, with their embed code and URL.

List Landing Pages

landing-page-list

Query landing pages. Content fields (`content`, `scriptFragment`) are not queryable.

Create List

list-create

Create a static list. Add prospects to it with Add Prospect to List.

Get List

list-get

Read one list by id.

List Lists

list-list

Query Account Engagement lists (the static and dynamic prospect lists).

Add Prospect to List

list-membership-create

Put a prospect on a list.

Remove Prospect from List

list-membership-delete

Delete a list membership by its own id (find it with List List Memberships). The prospect and the list are untouched.

List List Memberships

list-membership-list

Query which prospects are on which lists. Filter by list or by prospect to answer either direction.

List Prospect Accounts

prospect-account-list

Query prospect accounts — the company-level record prospects roll up to. Read-only through the API.

Add Tag to Prospect

prospect-add-tag

Tag a prospect. This creates a tagged-object record.

Create Prospect

prospect-create

Create a prospect. Only the email is required. Use Upsert Prospect when the person may already exist.

Delete Prospect

prospect-delete

Delete a prospect. It moves to the Account Engagement recycle bin; related records are not deleted.

Get Prospect

prospect-get

Read one prospect by id. Unlike the list query, a read returns every custom field (`…__c`) you ask for.

List Prospects

prospect-list

Query prospects with filters on id, email, Salesforce id, timestamps and owner. Returns one page plus a token for the next.

Remove Tag from Prospect

prospect-remove-tag

Remove a tag from a prospect. The tagged-object record is deleted.

Update Prospect

prospect-update

Change fields on a prospect. Fields you leave blank are left as they are.

Upsert Prospect by Email

prospect-upsert

Update the prospect with this email (the one with the latest activity, if several), or create it. Set Match email to change a prospect's email address.

Create Tag

tag-create

Create a tag. Apply it to a prospect with Add Tag to Prospect.

List Tags

tag-list

Query tags, with how many records carry each.

List Visitor Activities

visitor-activity-list

Query what visitors and prospects did: clicks, views, form and form-handler submissions, email opens and sends, and more. `typeName` says which.

List Visitors

visitor-list

Query tracked website visitors, identified or not.

A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the workflow spec, carrying Pardot's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account, so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for Pardot, then fill in the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but nothing in it is specific to Pardot. The Workflow tab is where this app's real ids are.

Give an AI agent Pardot — without giving it Pardot's credentials. One MCP endpoint exposes every app, function and workflow the caller is entitled to, as tools it can discover and run. Access is granted per team while we onboard.

One tool call
{
  "name": "w6w_invoke",
  "arguments": {
    "ref": "app:io.w6w.pardot#list-create",
    "input": {
      "name": "<name>"
    }
  }
}

Every tool names its target with a single ref. The app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the host resolves which of the caller's Pardot connections to sign with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.

What the agent gets

Credentials it can't read

The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.

A tool surface scoped to the caller

Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.

A durable workflow in one call

Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.

Health-aware discovery

Pardot's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.

The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. Pardot itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).

Request MCP access

Health checks

Pardot declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
