Read, send, and organize Microsoft Outlook mail and calendar events via the Microsoft Graph API.
Microsoft Outlook ships in the w6w first-party pack. It declares 18 actions, 2 health checks, and the host runs its code in a sandbox that never sees the credential.
io.w6w.outlookThis app manages Microsoft Outlook mail and calendar through the Microsoft Graph API: sending, drafting, replying to, forwarding, and organizing messages, and creating, updating, and reading calendar events, including the expanded occurrences of a recurring meeting rather than just its series definition. It covers the two surfaces a user actually means by “Outlook”, deliberately leaving out the much larger Microsoft 365 surface Graph also exposes — contacts, Teams, OneDrive, and directory administration are each their own product with their own consent scopes.
A few details matter for reliability: only event creation is safe to retry automatically, since Graph offers no dedupe key for sending or drafting a message, so those are treated as one-shot actions. Deleting a meeting you organize notifies every attendee, with no way to suppress it, and paging through a large mailbox or calendar follows Graph’s own continuation links rather than reconstructing them, bounded so an unbounded inbox cannot turn into an unbounded run.
Three routes to the same 18 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from Microsoft Outlook's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.
delete-event Delete a calendar event. If it is a meeting you organize, attendees are sent a cancellation.
list-calendar-view List every occurrence, exception, and single instance in a date range, with recurring series expanded.
list-events List events on a calendar. Recurring series are returned as one master, not expanded.
list-mail-folders List mail folders at the mailbox root, or the child folders of one folder.
list-messages List or search messages in the mailbox, optionally scoped to one mail folder.
move-message Move a message to another mail folder. Returns the message under its new id.
update-message Mark a message read or unread, set categories, importance, focus, or a follow-up flag.
A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the
connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the
workflow spec, carrying Microsoft Outlook's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An
app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the
address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account,
so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for Microsoft Outlook, then fill in
the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the
parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed
from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but
nothing in it is specific to Microsoft Outlook. The Workflow tab is where this app's
real ids are.

Every tool names its target with a single ref. The
app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the
host resolves which of the caller's Microsoft Outlook connections to sign
with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.
The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.
Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.
Microsoft Outlook's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.
The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. Microsoft Outlook itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).
Microsoft Outlook declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
