Overview

Microsoft To Do is Microsoft’s personal task manager, and this app manages its task lists, tasks, checklist items and linked resources through the Microsoft Graph To Do API — the same API behind every official To Do client.

It covers the everyday task lifecycle: creating, updating and completing tasks, and reopening one by unmarking it, organized into task lists a workflow can also create and manage. Checklist items add subtasks within a single task, and a linked resource attaches a back-pointer to whatever caused the task in the first place — an email, a ticket, a CRM record — so a workflow can round-trip between a task and the system that spawned it.

Change-tracking actions let a workflow poll for what changed since its last run, including deletions a simple timestamp filter can’t detect, which is useful for keeping an external system in sync with someone’s task list without re-reading everything each time. This app is scoped to Microsoft To Do specifically — it does not reach into Microsoft Planner’s team task boards, a related but separate product with its own API.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account, so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for Microsoft To Do, then fill in the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the parameters that action declares. Every tool names its target with a single ref. The app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the host resolves which of the caller's Microsoft To Do connections to sign with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.

Credentials it can't read

The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
