Read and manage a Lexware Office (formerly lexoffice) account: contacts, articles, invoices, quotations, order confirmations, credit notes, the voucher list, payment data and reference lists.
Lexware Office ships in the w6w first-party pack. It declares 22 actions, 3 health checks, and the host runs its code in a sandbox that never sees the credential.
io.w6w.lexware-officeLexware Office (formerly lexoffice) is German cloud accounting and invoicing software for small businesses. This app connects a workflow to a Lexware Office organization through its Public API.
Look up and maintain contacts (customers and vendors) and articles, create invoices, quotations, order confirmations and credit notes as drafts or finalized documents, search the voucher list across every document type, read payment status for a voucher, and download rendered PDF or XML documents. Reference lists (countries, posting categories, payment conditions) are available so documents can be built without guessing ids.
Connect with an API key generated at app.lexware.de/addons/public-api. The key acts for the whole organization and the API allows two requests per second.
Three routes to the same 22 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from Lexware Office's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.
contact-get Fetch one contact with roles, addresses, emails and phone numbers. The `version` is what Update Contact needs.
contact-update Replace a contact with the given body. Fetch it first (Get Contact), change it, and send it back with the version you read.
country-list Countries known to Lexware with their tax classification (de, intraCommunity, thirdPartyCountry). Use the country code on addresses.
credit-note-create Create a credit note. It is a draft unless Finalize is on; a finalized document cannot be changed through the API afterwards.
credit-note-get Fetch one credit note with line items, totals, tax and payment conditions.
document-file-get Download the rendered PDF (or XRechnung XML) of a finalized sales document as base64. Drafts have no file.
invoice-create Create an invoice. It is a draft unless Finalize is on; a finalized document cannot be changed through the API afterwards.
order-confirmation-create Create an order confirmation. It is a draft unless Finalize is on; a finalized document cannot be changed through the API afterwards.
order-confirmation-get Fetch one order confirmation with line items, totals, tax and payment conditions.
payment-condition-list Payment conditions configured in Lexware (term, discount), including the organization default.
payment-get Open amount, payment status and payment items of an invoice or bookkeeping voucher. Fails for quotations, drafts and other vouchers without payment data.
posting-category-list Posting categories (income and outgo) usable on bookkeeping vouchers.
profile-get Organization name, subscription status, business features and tax type of the account the API key belongs to.
quotation-create Create a quotation. It is a draft unless Finalize is on; a finalized document cannot be changed through the API afterwards.
quotation-get Fetch one quotation with line items, totals, tax and payment conditions.
voucher-list Search the voucher list across invoices, credit notes, quotations, order confirmations, delivery notes and bookkeeping vouchers. This is how you list invoices.
A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the
connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the
workflow spec, carrying Lexware Office's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An
app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the
address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account,
so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for Lexware Office, then fill in
the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the
parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed
from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but
nothing in it is specific to Lexware Office. The Workflow tab is where this app's
real ids are.

One MCP endpoint exposes every app, function and workflow the caller is entitled to, as tools it can discover and run. Access is granted per team while we onboard.

}
Every tool names its target with a single ref. The
app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the
host resolves which of the caller's Lexware Office connections to sign
with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.
The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.
Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.
Lexware Office's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.
The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. Lexware Office itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).
Lexware Office declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
Unauthenticated GET https://api.lexware.io/v1/profile. A 401 carrying the gateway's JSON `{"message": "Unauthorized"}` passes — it proves the API gateway is answering. Credential validity is the derived `auth:*` check's job.
