Google Business Profile ships in the w6w first-party pack. It declares 15 actions, 2 health checks, and the host runs its code in a sandbox that never sees the credential.
io.w6w.google-business-profileGoogle Business Profile is how a business’s storefront appears in Google Search and Maps, and this app manages that listing from a workflow: accounts and the locations under them, the attributes that describe a location, the questions and answers customers post on it, and the booking, ordering and reservation links shown alongside it.
Because Google split what used to be one API into several services, each covering a different slice of a listing, this app resolves which one an action needs automatically, so a workflow calling it sees a single consistent surface rather than juggling hostnames itself. Updating a location’s details or its attributes only sends the fields a workflow actually changed, leaving everything else on the listing untouched.
Claiming or removing a location, and asking a question on someone else’s listing, are deliberately left out — those are one-time or consumer-facing actions rather than the recurring management work this app is built for. Reviews aren’t covered either, since Google runs them on a separate, older service outside this app’s current scope.
Three routes to the same 15 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from Google Business Profile's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.
create-place-action-link Add a place action link (booking, ordering, reservation URL) to a location.
get-location-attributes Retrieve the attributes (e.g. amenities, payment options) currently set on a location.
list-accounts List the Business Profile accounts accessible to the connected user. Returns one page; pass pageToken for the next.
list-attribute-metadata List the attributes available to set for a location, category, or the entire catalog — supply exactly one of Location, Category, or Show all.
list-categories List Google's supported business categories, localized to a region and language.
list-locations List the locations owned by an account. For a PERSONAL account, returns only directly owned locations; for other account types (e.g. a location group), returns all accessible locations.
list-place-action-links List the place action links (booking, ordering, reservation URLs) on a location.
update-location Patch fields on an existing location. Only supplied fields are sent; omit a field to leave it untouched.
update-location-attributes Set, replace, or delete attributes (e.g. amenities) on a location.
upsert-answer Write or replace the connected user's answer to a question. There can be only one answer per author per question, so calling this again replaces the previous text.
A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the
connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the
workflow spec, carrying Google Business Profile's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An
app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the
address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account,
so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for Google Business Profile, then fill in
the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the
parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed
from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but
nothing in it is specific to Google Business Profile. The Workflow tab is where this app's
real ids are.

Every tool names its target with a single ref. The
app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the
host resolves which of the caller's Google Business Profile connections to sign
with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.
The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.
Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.
Google Business Profile's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.
The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. Google Business Profile itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).
Google Business Profile declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
