Pull a built-in performance report or write your own query against any resource — campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, customers — and get back exactly the columns you asked for.
On the management side, create and update campaigns and their budgets, and create ad groups. List accessible customers, walk the account hierarchy under a manager login, and list campaigns, ad groups, ads and keywords to build the rest of a workflow around real ids rather than guesswork.
This app covers reporting, campaign and budget management, and account structure — not ad creative authoring, keyword bidding changes, or billing, which stay in the Google Ads UI.
Three routes to the same 14 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from Google Ads's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.
create-campaign Create a campaign against an existing budget. Defaults to PAUSED so it does not start spending on creation.
create-campaign-budget Create a campaign budget. Its resource name is what `create-campaign` needs for `campaignBudget`.
get-campaign Read a single campaign by ID, including its budget and bidding configuration.
get-customer Read the account this call is addressed to — name, currency, time zone, and whether it is a manager or test account.
list-accessible-customers List the Google Ads accounts this credential can reach directly, as relative resource names.
list-ad-groups List ad groups, optionally narrowed to one campaign, with their bids and status.
list-ads List ads with their type, final URLs, status and policy approval, optionally narrowed to one ad group or campaign.
list-campaigns List campaigns with their status, channel type, budget and bidding strategy.
list-customer-clients List the accounts beneath a manager account, at any depth, with their level, currency and time zone.

search Run a raw Google Ads Query Language statement and return one page of rows. The general-purpose read for anything the typed actions don't cover.
update-campaign Update a campaign's name, status, budget or schedule. The update mask is derived from the fields you fill in.
A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the
connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the
workflow spec, carrying Google Ads's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An
app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the
address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account,
so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for Google Ads, then fill in
the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the
parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed
from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but
nothing in it is specific to Google Ads. The Workflow tab is where this app's
real ids are.

Every tool names its target with a single ref. The
app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the
host resolves which of the caller's Google Ads connections to sign
with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.
The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.
Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.
Google Ads's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.
The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. Google Ads itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).
Google Ads declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
