Convert, compress and manipulate files with CloudConvert's job/task pipeline.
CloudConvert ships in the w6w first-party pack. It declares 18 actions, 3 health checks, and the host runs its code in a sandbox that never sees the credential.
io.w6w.cloudconvertCloudConvert converts, compresses, watermarks and otherwise transforms files through a job/task pipeline: a job is a small graph of tasks (typically an import, a conversion, and an export), and this app covers the job and task lifecycle end to end — create, inspect, wait for, list and delete jobs; inspect, wait for, cancel, retry, list and delete the tasks inside them.
The centre of gravity is convert-url, a one-shot action that builds and runs the whole import-URL -> convert -> export-URL graph on CloudConvert’s synchronous host and hands back the converted file’s download URL directly, for the common case of converting one file without polling. job-create and job-create-and-wait expose the full task graph as CloudConvert itself defines it (import from S3/Azure/GCS/OpenStack/SFTP/a base64 or raw string, convert, optimize, watermark, thumbnail, merge, and more) for anything more elaborate than the one-shot path.
Browser-style local-file upload (import/upload) is deliberately not covered — see the README for why — so every action here works with files already reachable by URL or by one of CloudConvert’s cloud-storage import/export operations.
Three routes to the same 18 actions. The Workflow tab is generated from CloudConvert's own manifest and carries its real ids, so it is copy-pasteable; the Code and CLI examples are the same call for any action on any app, so every app-specific value in them is a blank you fill in.
convert-url Download a file from a URL, convert it, and get back a download URL — in one blocking call. For anything else (cloud-storage import/export, multi-file jobs, non-convert operations), use Create Job.
job-create Create a job with one or more tasks and return immediately, without waiting for it to finish.
job-create-and-wait Create a job with one or more tasks and block until it finishes or fails, returning the completed job.
job-list List all your jobs, optionally filtered by status, tag or the API key that created them.
operation-list List possible operations, format pairs, engines and their options — public, no credential required.
webhook-create Create an account-wide webhook for job lifecycle events. The response includes the signing secret — store it securely, it is not shown again outside the CloudConvert dashboard.
webhook-list List all account-wide webhooks. Each entry includes its signing secret — treat the result as sensitive.
A workflow step names the app and the action, and the editor fills in the
connection when you pick one. This is the Step shape from the
workflow spec, carrying CloudConvert's real ids.

Every app-specific value here is a blank you have to fill in. An
app action is reached through the connection that authenticates it, so the
address is a connection id, not the app id — and connections belong to your account,
so a public page cannot know yours. Create one for CloudConvert, then fill in
the three blanks: conn_YOUR_CONNECTION_ID, the action key, and the
parameters that action declares. The call itself is real — the shape is transcribed
from the studio's own snippet builder, which prints the same kind of blanks — but
nothing in it is specific to CloudConvert. The Workflow tab is where this app's
real ids are.

Every tool names its target with a single ref. The
app: form above doesn't name a connection at all — the
host resolves which of the caller's CloudConvert connections to sign
with, and refuses rather than guesses when the answer is ambiguous.
The token is attached host-side, at the moment of the call. It is never a tool argument, never in the model's context, and never in a transcript — so a prompt injection has nothing to exfiltrate.
Tools are derived per end user from what that person has actually connected and is entitled to — not one shared bot identity carrying the union of everyone's access.
Multi-step work runs on the workflow engine and returns a run handle the agent can poll — retries, branching and state survive the conversation that started them.
CloudConvert's declared health checks are on the surface too, so an agent can tell "the vendor is down" from "your credential expired" before it burns a retry on either.
The MCP surface is part of the hosted platform. CloudConvert itself is MIT, and the runtime that executes it is source-available (FSL).
CloudConvert declares its own checks, so its health is a property of the app rather than something the host guesses at.
